Question Moron That Installed Myt New Remain Engine Used GAsket MAker Instead Of The GAsket I GAve Him, Was Goona TAke It Off Clean That Orange Crap Off And Put In The Good Gasket. Pulled The Starter The Pan Bolts But>>> Can Not Get It By The Exaust Pipe. I Unbolted It From The Manifold But It Did Not Give Enough Clearance. Any Ideas Or Do I Need Do Undo All The eXUAST bOLTS aND sROP iT?

The orange stuff is most likely the high temp gasket maker which will last 10x longer and work better than a regular gasket IMO. If it's not leaking, why remove it.

To answer your question, yes i believe the exhaust has to come off to get the pan out......

yeah but now Felpro sells the sweeeeet silicone (or whatever it is) one piece gaskets. I just put one on my 2.5L when I did all the other seals. No RTV no mess. Just lay it down and tighten the bolts.

I would get the RTV out of there it's not good if it peels off on the inside it will jam up oil passages , I used a 1pcs. gasket on my 93 YJ 2.5 and I did not have to remove the exhaust but I would replace the bolts I whent to retourk my bolts to the rite # and 2 broke

I cannot read that well but the exhaust has to come off as was stated.

I pulled my oil pan off my 2.5 tj years ago. I just had to unbolt the head pipe from the manifold, and I believe that was enough room to get the pan off.
